Builders ask me what you actually get. The short answer: real perks for real contribution. Not a referral paycheck.
I run Ambassador Directory. I am a Cursor ambassador and a Raycast ambassador. The rule here is give and take: you contribute content, events, feedback, or mentoring, and you get credits, a plan, event funding, or access. If the deal is a tracking link, it is the wrong program.
The usual perk buckets
Most contribution-first programs land in a few buckets. I will name a program only when the listing or the company's official page documents that perk. I will not invent dollar amounts.

Credits and free plans
This is the perk people hunt first. You keep using the tool. They cover usage, or they give you the paid plan.
Cursor's official page names free Cursor credits for personal usage. I get that deal. The listing on this site tags Credits, Access, Co-marketing, and Networking. Cursor does not publish a dollar figure. I will not invent one.
Raycast's official page names a free Raycast Pro plan, including Advanced AI. I am in this program too. The listing tags the same perk set as Cursor.
v0's listing says you receive credits and recognition for community-driven content. DigitalOcean's listing description names product credits. Filter the directory by Credits if you want more of this lane.
Event and meetup funding
If you already gather people, this is the perk that pays the room, the pizza, or the badges. It is support for the event. It is not a salary.
Cursor's official page names funding to cover community meetup costs. Raycast's official page names funding for events, meetups, and workshops. I have seen both of those asks up close.
Claude Community Ambassadors is the city-events track. Anthropic's official page names event funding, ready-to-use content, swag, and promotion. Cloudflare's official community page names meetup and workshop support, plus credits and assets for those events.
Read the listing, then apply on the company's official page. Do not send an application through this directory.
Early access, private channel, recognition, swag
The rest of the stack is access and proof you are in the room.
Cursor's official page names nightly builds, Slack with the team, a forum badge, stickers, and merch. Raycast's official page names early access, a private channel with the team, a badge, and merch.
Supabase's official SupaSquad page names early access, a direct channel with the team, a Discord badge, Reddit flair, and exclusive swag. The listing also tags Credits. I am not inventing a Pro-plan dollar figure that page does not publish.
Cloudflare's official page names recognition and exclusive swag. Docker's official Captains page names beta access, exclusive swag, and discounts on Docker Pro. That is a discount, not a free subscription. GitHub Stars is the recognition lane. The listing on this site names free GitHub Team or Enterprise access.
n8n's listing tags Credits, Access, and Co-marketing. I will not invent a cloud-credit amount their public page does not spell out here.
What you usually do not get
You usually do not get a salary. You usually do not get a guaranteed revenue share. You do not get an affiliate payout for a tracking link.
Cloudflare's official page says ambassadors are not paid roles. Claude Community's official FAQ says the program does not include direct payment. The exchange is support for the work.
Campus tracks can look different. Claude Campus is a student listing. Anthropic's official campus page names a paid program stipend and API credits for club members. The listing tags Cash and Credits. That is still not a published dollar figure, and it is not an affiliate commission. Applications for the Spring 2026 campus cohort have closed.
If the offer is a tracking link and a payout, you are looking at affiliates. That is a different page.
Compare the ask against the give
Before you apply, put the ask next to the perk. If they want monthly meetups and the give is a sticker, walk away. If they want a tutorial and the give is a plan you already pay for, that can be a fair week.
- Read the listing for the ask: content, events, campus, or OSS.
- Read the official page for the give: credits, a plan, event funding, access, swag.
- Match the perk to the work. Event funding belongs with events. Credits belong with a product you already use.
- Filter this directory by perk (Credits, Access, Swag, Co-marketing) when you want a lane, not a brand.
How this directory helps
Ambassador Directory lists curated tech ambassador programs that require real contribution and give real perks back. Give and take. Not affiliate. Not CPA.
Filter the directory. Open a listing. Read the ask and the perks. Then apply on the company's official page, not through this site.
