Claude Community Ambassadors: how to apply in 2026
How to apply to Claude Community Ambassadors in 2026. What they ask, what you get, and the official Anthropic application page.
Apply on Anthropic's site
Claude Community Ambassadors is open. Applications are rolling. There is no published close date. Apply on Anthropic's official page.
I run Ambassador Directory. I am a Cursor ambassador and a Raycast ambassador. I am not a Claude Community Ambassador. The rule here is give and take: you host local meetups, workshops, or hackathons, and you get event support, API credits, and access. If the deal is a tracking link, it is the wrong program.
This page is a how-to. Apply on claude.com/community/ambassadors, not through this directory.
What they ask
Host local meetups, workshops, and hackathons. Bring builders together. Partner with Anthropic.
Any background, anywhere in the world. Multiple ambassadors from the same city are welcome. You need meaningful experience with Claude Code or Claude Cowork plus a track record of community involvement. A developer title is not required.
The official page names three archetypes.
- Community builders: you organize meetups, lead local groups, or hold a visible presence on Discord, Reddit, or X
- Technical users: you have hands-on Claude Code or Claude Cowork experience and can help others get started
- Claude advocates: you are excited about Claude and Anthropic's mission, help others learn, and give honest feedback
What you get
The exchange is support for the work, not a commission. There is no cost to join. There is no direct payment. Benefits are event sponsorship, API credits, networking, swag, and recognition.
- Event funding, ready-to-use content, swag, and promotion through Anthropic channels
- Monthly API credits to power demos
- Pre-release features and Builders Council sessions
- A private Slack with fellow ambassadors and the Anthropic team
Not Claude Campus
Claude also runs Claude Campus Program. That is a separate student listing. Students only. Two tracks: Claude Builder Club and Campus Ambassador.
Do not mix the two. If you want the city and community track, this is the form. If you are a university student looking for the campus track, start on the Campus listing.
How to apply
Read the listing on this site so you know the ask and the perks. Then apply on Anthropic's official page.
Official apply and info: https://claude.com/community/ambassadors
Tell them your background, your experience, and why you want to build your local Claude Community. They review every application. Qualified candidates get a short screening call.
If you are accepted, you sign an Ambassador Agreement, join the private Slack, and start planning your first event. Membership is ongoing while you host events and stay engaged. You can step away and reapply.
Other ambassadorships are fine in most cases, unless the other company's core business competes with Anthropic. If you are unsure, mention it in the application. Public talk about being an Ambassador is encouraged.
Do not send an application through Ambassador Directory. We list programs. We do not take applications for them.
Related AI and developer-tool programs
If the city community track is the wrong fit, Cursor sits in a similar AI or developer-tools lane. Apply on that company's official page, not through this directory.
Claude Community is one of five named programs on the 2026 shortlist. The Cursor how-to is the same shape of apply page. If you want a general apply path, start with how to get in. If you are scanning AI and developer-tool programs, use that guide.
